Who I am.
I'm Anna Turco, founder of Scientifix.
In the past decade, I have worked closely with researchers, clinicians, publishers, foundations, and innovators, be it from large multinational firms or young startups, to support the development, communication, and application of scientific knowledge.
I am passionate about science and committed to the highest scientific and ethical standards. My research training at KU Leuven gave me a strong foundation in scientific rigor, critical thinking, and methodology - skills that continue to guide my work today. They allow me to navigate complex scientific challenges, assess evidence critically, and develop solutions grounded in both quality and integrity.
At the same time, I believe scientific excellence is only part of the equation.
What drives me is helping science achieve meaningful impact. Whether that means transforming research into publications that address evidence communication needs, securing funding for projects, fostering collaborations through consensus initiatives and educational programs, or building strategic partnerships that advance innovation, my focus is always on creating value beyond the research itself.
I believe science matters most when it reaches the people, decisions, and communities it was meant to serve.
How I work.
Every project starts with understanding.
Before discussing solutions, I take the time to understand your goals, challenges, priorities, and context. I am a bottom-up thinker who enjoys getting into the details, understanding the underlying problem, and building solutions on solid foundations. At the same time, I believe in learning through action: testing assumptions, gathering evidence, and adapting quickly when something isn't working.
My approach combines scientific rigor with practical strategy. I simplify complexity, connect ideas across disciplines, and focus on actions that create measurable value. If you need your ideas to be challenged, I will gladly be your sparring partner, bringing questions, evidence, and alternative perspectives to strengthen your thinking. If you already have a clear direction, I can also help translate strategy into execution and ensure progress happens efficiently and effectively.
